Aquatic Therapy is an innovative form of therapy, which enhances all types of rehabilitation programs. Each session may include gait training, stretching, strengthening, active and passive range of motion, joint mobilization and functional activities. A physical therapist with special training in aquatic therapy will provide individualized exercise instruction based on each patient's needs.

-
Hydrostatic pressure of water combined with active exercise helps decrease edema.

Warm water promotes relaxation of muscles in spasm and assists with flexibility exercises.
-
Movement through water can provide resistance for strengthening.
